Song in head: Clint Eastwood, by the Gorillaz (Clean Version)
The last couple of weeks have definitely been an adjustment. Going back to school after graduating in the year 2020, feels strange as everyone around me is 10 years or so younger. Paying out of pocket for all my classes now, I hope will push me to get even better grades, my GPA wasn’t bad for my first bachelor’s degree, but I can improve.
I also wanted to remind everybody that I do have a book signing this Saturday, September 7th, at 3- 5 PM at the Barnes & Noble in American Fork Utah. I hope to see some of you there if you’d like to say hi, even though you might’ve seen me before. I am reading a few writing books, one is called story engineering. I already feel like I’m learning a lot from these books, in terms of main story, how the idea of your book needs to be good before you actually write a large majority of it. I mean by that is, having a good synopsis or thesis for your story because if there isn’t a good starting point, it might not end up very well. I understand that, and I’ve been trying to do better with that.
The writing group has been changed to once every two weeks as that is best for the members of the group at the moment. I will make these newsletters also once every two weeks as well. I’ve been excited to continue writing my new book. But I’ve also been excited to write, and edit my own Youtube videos again. I spend a little time each day editing my newest video. I feel like I’d be able to finish a video once every month, and that’s a video that is 15 to 20 minutes long. I can’t express how much time YouTube videos take to make, I can barely get done a minute or less each day. I understand a bit more why youtubers take a while to make videos now. It opens my eyes knowing that one YouTube video can take hours upon hours to make.
If you are interested about any video game related videos I make, here is a link to my youtube channel. Other creative endeavors I have been undertaking have to do with a college class that has me play videogames, and then write about them. Let me know if there’s anything that you would like me to cover. I hope if you’re able to make it to see me at the American Fork Barnes & Noble this Saturday and I hope you all have a wonderful week!
