For Boyd, a young boy with a negative outlook, life is only full of people who get in his way. His views change however when he accidentally dies and becomes a warrior of light. He is then tasked with finding all 9 pieces of armor and spiritual relics that derive from the stars, the moon, and the sun. For the creator of the universe, he is one of a select few tasked with preventing the leader of the unborn from rising and destroying his precious mortal offspring.
The Working Title “Ghost Boyd” is an indie top-down pixel art action adventure real time combat RPG video game about a boy that dies in a car accident and must first gain his body back while also collecting angelic relics before encountering and facing the world’s most ultimate evil. Inspired by game series such as Earthbound, Undertale, Kingdom Hearts, and The Legend of Zelda, the game is a mix of melancholy moments, quirky characters, and childhood wonder. As one explores the mortal and ghost versions of a suburb with a child’s mindset, the environment becomes as enduring a character as the main one. The game is still in early development but will progress slowly but surely from a small (mostly 1) developer known as Kurt Jensen. More updates will be shown once developed further.
In the near future, psychologists have technology that enables them to enter the minds of their patients, and supposedly cure them of mental illness. Dr. Blank is the founder of this new and exciting technology. Haunted by the psychological death of his daughter and wife, he hopes to better the world and save lives with his new techniques. Little does he know that nefarious crime syndicates are taking control using his methods, while also luring him into a trap that may cause his own demise.
On a future Earth, criminals are overcrowding the institutions setup to help them enter back into society. Behind closed doors, government officials have been dealing with the problem by sending inmates without any hope of release until their death, into outer space on strange missions. One such inmate is a classic case of accidentally convicting the wrong person, and she finds herself with the most repulsive criminals, sent on a mission to discover the truth about a type of matter no one thinks exists. Launched into space, they are promised rescue and freedom if they can discover the reality of this most sought after element. Unfortunately for the crew of this junk cruiser, this was never a trip destined for freedom.
